Spiritual Food: The Truth Shall Set Us Free!

The Truth Shall Set Us Free!

Lie is the opposite of truth which is the root of distrust in any relationship. As Christians, we should no longer be in bondage to the spirit of lying. Although we may be lied to, but we can always trust the Word of God which is the truth that can set us free from the pain of betrayal. Let us draw comfort in knowing that as we continue to sow truthfulness, we will also reap truthfulness even at the end.

John 8: 44 (Jesus spoke this) "You are of your
father the devil, and the desires of your father
you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning,
and does not stand in the truth. When he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own resources;
for he is a liar and the father of it."

John 8: 31-32   "Then Jesus said to those Jews
who believed Him, 'If you abide in My word,
you are My disciples, indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free'."

Ephesians 4:25  "Therefore, putting away lying,
'Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor',
for we are members of one another."

Psalm 15:1-3  "Lord, who may abide in
Your tabernacle? Who may dwell
in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly,
and works righteousness, and speaks the truth
in his heart; he who does not backbite
with his tongue, nor does evil to
his neighbor, nor does he take up a reproach
against his friend."
