Refreshing Oriental Green Salad
After eating those rich ham, cheese, casseroles, etc. during the holidays, it's time to detox. Remember, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit so we need to take care of it. My husband and I resolved to go back to eating green salads for dinner. Here's one that we like. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
5 kani sticks, shredded
Iceberg or Romaine lettuce
1 small carrot, peeled, cut into strips
1 small turnip, peeled, cut into strips
1 small cucumber, peeled, cut into strips
1 small orange sections, peeled
Dressing:
1/8 red onion, chopped
1/8 red bell pepper, chopped
juice of 1/2 orange
4 tbsps. cane vinegar
2 tsps. soy sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
salt and pepper
Steps : Mix all dressing ingredients. Mix all salad ingredients. Toss. Serves 4.
