There are many verses in the Bible that speaks about marriage but there are only a handful of verses that speaks about a wife pursuing to keep her relationship with her husband. It is mostly the husband's responsibility to keep the marriage intimacy going. But how ironic that in the world, it is usually the men who betray their marriage covenants and the wife is almost always pursuing the husband. The following verses remind the husbands, and wives, about their commitment to have a lasting relationship with one another. I pray that they could draw inspiration from these and apply them in their own marriage.

Proverbs 5: 18-19 "Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth. As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured (intoxicated) with

her love."

Ecclesiastes 9:9 "Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun."

Song of Solomon 8:6-7 "Set me a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm. For love is as strong as death, jealousy as cruel as the grave; its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would utterly be despised."

Malachi 2: 14-15 "Yet you say, 'For what reason?'

Because the Lord has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, with whom you have dealt treacherously. Yet she is your companion and your wife of covenant. But did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of your youth."
