"Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit...And You are Not Your Own"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit...And You are Not Your Own"

The following verses remind us that we have to take care of our physical bodies. As Christians, we know that our spirit-man is already saved but in order to walk this earth, we need a healthy body to be able to completely fulfill our assigned purposes, for our own family and loved ones and for God's kingdom. Therefore, smoking, excessive drinking, and drugs are all bondages of the flesh that we need to remove through the help of Jesus by the Holy Spirit.

James 4: 14 "Whereas you do not know that will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for little time and then vanishes away."

1 Corinthians 6: 19-20  "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

1 Corinthians 9: 27 "But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified."
Luke 4:18-19 (Jesus spoke this) "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor (in spirit); He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."

"For There Is Nothing Hidden Which Will Not Be Revealed"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "For There is Nothing Hidden Which Will Not be Revealed"

Although we can keep secrets from some people, there is Someone whom we cannot keep anything from--our God. He sees everything, He knows everything, He sees us from the inside out and knows the intents and thoughts of our hearts. So, if we have committed a sin or an error, He knows it even if we hide it. If we draw near to Him, though we lie, we shall know His truth(His word) and His truth shall set us free.

Psalm 69:5  " Oh God, You know my foolishness; and my sins are not hidden from You."

Psalm 139: 1-4  "O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. There is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether".

Psalm 44: 21 "Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart."

Mark 4: 22 "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light."
Psalm 119: 10- 11 "With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments. Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

"You are a Son, an Heir of God through Christ"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "You are a Son, an Heir of God through Christ"

A Christian's position here on earth is through Christ and no one else. He is what he is because of what Christ had already done, not because of his own works. Therefore, in order to enjoy the benefits of Christianity, he must know who he is in Christ Jesus and the promises that are attached to it, so that he may be able to exercise his faith and fulfill the purpose he was called for here on earth.

You were chosen and has been blessed:
Ephesians 1: 3-5 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly place in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will."

You are a son (a child of God) and heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4: 7 "Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."

You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you and nothing can separate you from that love.
Romans 8:37-39 "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ our Lord.

Health is yours because it has been paid for by His stripes.
1 Peter 2:24 "..who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes we were healed."

It is God's will for you to prosper in every area of your life (finance, business, relationships, etc.) and be in health.
3 John 2 "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

"He Who Promised is Faithful"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "He Who Promised is Faithful"

"God has dealt to each one a measure of faith" (Romans 12:3). However, we have been given the free will to choose where to apply that faith in. Some people have faith in themselves and their abilities, some have faith in idols, and some, on what others tell them. But the Christian faith is on God and in His Words. His Words are His precious promises which we use and abide in to live a good life here on earth.
Here are more of God's Words regarding faith.

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Romans 4:17 "...God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did".

Mark 4: 40  "But He (Jesus) said to them, 'Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?' "

Romans 1:17 "For in it (the Gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith' ".

Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold fast to the confession (declaration) of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."

"Bring Your Children Up in the Training and Admonition of the Lord"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "Bring Your Children Up in the Training and Admonition of the Lord"

We have had many topics and verses posted in this blog regarding the bringing up of our children in the training of our Lord. Permit me to add another post on this in order to support our Issues of Life topic. But I pray that the following verses may help us realize and ask God to help us in the fulfillment of our obligations to our children--first and foremost, to train them in the knowledge of who God is.

Psalm 127:3  "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward."

Ephesians 6: 4 "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."

Galatians 4: 1-2 "Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardian and stewards until the time appointed by the father."
Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly."

Proverbs 1:8-9 "My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother; for they will be graceful ornament on your head, and chains about your neck."

"As For Me and My House, We will Serve the Lord!"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "As For Me and My House, We will Serve the Lord!"

Our title comes from Joshua 24:15 which I've already explained in our Issues of Life section. A godly house is a family that worships and serves the Lord. It is our duty as parents to introduce Jesus to our children, but then it would be their own choice whether to continue to serve Him or not. However, great is the influence of our own life to them especially when they witness our joy in serving Him.

Genesis 18:19 "For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him (blessings)."

Our individual act of service :

Romans 12: 1-2  "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

Our Great Commission to share Jesus to others:

Matthew 2: 19-20  "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age."

Psalm 100: 1-2 "Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before His presence with singing."

"Honor Your Father & Mother, That It May Be Well With You"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "Honor Your Father and Mother, That It May Be Well With You"

In celebration of Father's Day, I post the following verses to remind us about the importance of honoring our father, and mother, and how fitting it is for them to be recognized for their role in our upbringing and our life. But it also more fitting to recognize the Father of our fathers, the Father of us all--our God in heaven who created and takes care of us all.

Ephesians 6:1-4  "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother', which is the first commandment with promise: 'That it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth'. And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."

Hebrews 12: 5- 7  "And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: 'My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him. For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives'. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as sons, for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?"

Hebrews 12: 9  "Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?"

Matthew 7: 11  "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"

"Open Your Hand Wide to Your Poor Brother"

SPIRITUAL FOOD: "Open Your Hand Wide to Your Poor Brother"

There are many verses in the Bible which talks about a Christian's responsibility to help the poor and his neighbor and this should be done out of love and not out of obligation. Sometimes, we can understand why we cannot love other people especially those we do not know, but our own relatives and our own flesh-and-blood, we are expected to naturally love and be willing to help. Here are some verses which might inspire you to understand why we help our relatives and our poor neighbor.

Matthew 22: 37-39  "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind'. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself' ".

Deuteronomy 15: 7-8  "If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs."
Proverbs 19: 26  "He who mistreats his father and chases away his mother is a son who causes shame and brings reproach."

Proverbs 19: 17  "He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given".

Proverbs 11:24-25  "There is one who scatters, yet increases all the more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself."

The Model Prayer

The Model Prayer

In Matthew 6: 9-13, Jesus taught us how to pray. He showed His disciples that this kind of prayer is most effective. We are to follow this pattern when we pray. Allow me to explain why.

"In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name  -- Our prayer should always begin with praise. We praise our God because He is worthy to be magnified and praised. God inhabits the praises of His people which means He loves our praises and listens intently.

Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. -- 1 John 5: 14 says, 'Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask according to His will, He hears us.' The Bible tells us that it is God's will for us to become prosperous, to be in good health, to have a good and peaceful life.

Give us this day our daily bread -- This portion of the prayer is our petition. Again, Jesus said, 'Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find'. We need to ask what we need; although God already knows what we need but we need to ask.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors -- Forgiveness is essential to answered prayers because unforgiveness is a burden that blocks our blessings. As we have been forgiven through the blood of Christ, therefore, we must also forgive others.

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one -- God does not lead us into temptation but it is already around us. We ask God for the strength and endurance to repel temptations and the Holy Spirit will do His part to warn us or to convict us. However, it is still our decision to choose right from wrong, good or evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen" -- Prayer ends with praise because this is an expression of your faith that whatever you ask it is already given you. The best expression of faith and praise is thanksgiving because you are already thanking Him even if you do not see the blessing yet.

Now the next verse also is an important component of our prayer and assures us that whatever we ask will be given us.

John 16: 23-24 (Jesus is talking here)  " ....Most assuredly I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."

Spiritual Food: "Do Not be Drunk with Wine, But Be Filled with the Spirit"

"Do Not Be Drunk with Wine, But Be Filled with the Spirit"

As Christians, the Bible is our manual of life and there are many verses which reveal to us that drinking too much alcohol creates trouble and is not good for us. If the Word of God, which is spiritual and the beginning of all creation, document it so through the book to try to warn us, much more will God use our inner man which is our spirit to convict us when we get drunk more and more and more. This is not to condemn those who drink, but to remind them to be sober and clear-headed while drinking so that you can always be in control through the help of the Holy Spirit. Also, to be cautious that wanting to drink more and more can lead to alcohol-dependency.

Proverbs 20: 1  "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise."

Proverbs 23: 29-33   "Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who linger long at the wine, those who go in search of mixed wine. Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly. At the last it bites like a serpent and stings like a viper. Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart will utter perverse things."

Isaiah 28: 7  "But they also have erred through wine, and through intoxicating drink are out the the way. The priest and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink, they are swallowed up by the wine...They err in vision, they stumble in judgment."
Ephesians 5:18  "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit..."

Spiritual Food: "For Joy that a Human Being Has Been Born into the World"

"For Joy that a Human Being Has Been Born
into the World"

Motherhood is a great task that many women carry on their shoulder. Without mothers, no one would be born into this world and how else will mankind multiply. It is that great purpose of womanhood which God designed for us that we may conceive and bring into this earth His 'sons' whom He predestined to be His, forever.

John 16: 21  (Jesus spoke these words.)  "A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come: but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers her anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world."
Luke 1:42  "Then she (Elizabeth) spoke out with a loud voice and said, 'Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!"
Luke 1:46-48   (The Song of Mary)  "And Mary said: 'My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed."

Psalm 113:9  "He grants the barren woman a home,
like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!"

Happy Mother's Day to All Moms!!!

Spiritual Food: "Woe to Him by Whom Offenses Come"

"Woe to Him by Whom Offenses Come"

Offense causes division in relationships, friendships, organizations, even in church. Here are the verses that pertain to offense and also those which guide us to be able to overcome it.

Matthew 18: 7-9 (Spoken by Jesus) "Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame and maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire."

Just a small explanation here. Jesus is not referring to our physical hands and feet, nor to our physical eyes, but He is referring to our spiritual parts which influence our mind and emotions and cause us to sin or offend someone. But sometimes, we use our physical eyes and see that which we lust for. However, if we close the eyes of our heart and mind to pursue this lust, it will not prevail.

Luke 17: 3  "Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; if he repents, forgive him."

Psalm 133:1-3  "Behold , how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down
the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge
of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon,
descending upon the mountains of Zion.
For there the Lord commanded the blessings--
life forevermore.

Ephesians 4:1 "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with
which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace."

Spiritual Food:"I Came to Give You Life and Life Abundantly"

"I Came to Give You Life and Life Abundantly"

Life is important to God; this is the reason why Jesus came--to give us life more abundantly. As it is important to Him, how can it not be important to us also? Abortion is the killing of life--life of an unborn child. But to those who have done so for whatever reason and are now experiencing the guilt, God also wants you to continue life without condemnation through His Son, Jesus.

Deutoronomy 30:19-20  "I call heaven and earth
as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you
life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants my live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice,
and that you may cling to Him for He is your life
and the length of your days..."

John 10:10  "The thief does not come except to
steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

1 John 1: 7-9  "But if we walk in the light as
He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ  His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we  have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Spiritual Food: Joined to Become One Flesh

Joined to Become One Flesh

Losing one's virginity does not only refer to the breaking of that physical part of a woman's body and to the loss of that first discharge for a man, but it refers to the loss of oneself to unite with another. You do not actually lose something but you gain a partner for life, that is why virginity is something like a treasure you offer to that partner. Saving virginity for marriage is our topic in Issues of Life. The following verses are not actually about virginity but about the sanctity of sexual love in marriage that one loses it for.

Genesis 2: 24   "Therefore a man shall leave
his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
and they shall become one flesh."

Matthew 19:6  "So then, they are no longer two
but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate". (Jesus, Himself, said this)

Hebrews 13: 4  "Marriage is honorable among all,
and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and
adulterers God will judge".

Sexual Love is only within Marriage:

Proverbs 5:16-20   "Let your fountain be blessed,
and rejoice with the wife of your youth...
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
and always be enraptured with her love.
For why should you, my son, be enraptured by
an immoral woman, and be embraced
in the arms of a seductress.

1 Corinthians 7: 36 (Amplified)  "But if any man
thinks that he is not acting properly
toward and in regard to his virgin [that he is
preparing disgrace for her or incurring reproach],
in case she is passing the bloom of her youth
and if there is need for it, let him do what to
him is need for it; he does not sin; let them marry."

Spiritual Food: "Rejoice , Highly Favored One"

"Rejoice, Highly Favored One"

As we hail women this month, these verses will help us know our purpose and who we are to God.

Made to help man:

Genesis 2:18    "And the Lord said, 'It is not good
that man should be alone; I will make him a
helper comparable to him' ".

The glory of man, :

1 Corinthians 11: 7, 10-12   "For a man indeed
ought not to cover his head, since he is the
image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.....For this reason the woman ought
to have a symbol of authority on her head,
because of the angels. Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman
independent of man, in the Lord. For a woman
came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.

Spiritual Position:

Galatians 3:28-29   "There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither slave nor free,
there is  neither male nor female;
for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed,
and heirs according to the promise."

Mary's Submission:

The Announcement:   Luke 1: 28, 31  "And having come in, the angel said to her, 'Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!'.....'And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name, Jesus' ".

Mary' Song (Prayer of Praise):  Luke 1:46-48  "And Mary said,
'My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit
has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold,
henceforth all generations will call me blessed' ".

Blessed are you, women of Christ! Blessed are you, women who will know Christ!

Spiritual Food: "Wives, Submit to Your Own Husbands as to the Lord"

"Wives, Submit to Your Own Husbands as to the Lord"

Submission is our topic in Issues of Life and a topic which is controversial to many who think it also means 'subjugation', the state of being subdued by force. The above title of this Spiritual Food came from Ephesians 5:22 which is discussed in our Issues of Life which also discusses what submission is and that all Christians must submit to one another. Submission is a Christian way of life and I pray the following verses will help you know that it is so.

James 4: 7   "Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

1 Peter 2:13-15   "Therefore, submit yourselves
to every ordinance of man
for the Lord's sake, whether to the
kings as supreme, or to governors, as
to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those
who do good. For this is the will of God,
that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as
bondservants of God."

1 Peter 3:1   "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives."

1 Peter 5:5   "Likewise you younger people,
submit yourselves to your elders.
Yes, all of you be submissive to one another,
and be clothed with humility."

Hebrews 13:7   "Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct."

Spiritual Food: "Beauty Instead of Ashes"

"Beauty Instead of Ashes"

Joyce Meyer's book, "Beauty for Ashes" is a book about receiving emotional healing. You receive it because you need your faith to receive inner healing. These are the verses in the book which helped Joyce to receive her own emotional healing at last.

Isaiah 61:1-3 (Amp) "The Spirit of the Lord
is upon me, because the Lord has
anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel
of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes
to those who are bound. To proclaim the
acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor]
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn. To grant
consolation and joy to those who mourn in Zion--
to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem)
of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of praise, joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of instead of heavy, burdened , and failing spirit --..."

1 Peter 4:8 (NKJV) "And above all things
have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins."

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV) "He who dwells in
the secret place of the Most High shall abide
under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say
of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust' "...

Spiritual Food: "Love Never Fails"

"Love Never Fails"

Love is an issue that many have different views about which we will tackle in our Issues of Life portion. I pray that these verses will help you see what love really is and is not.

1 John 4: 7-8  "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

1 John 4: 18-19  "There is no fear in love; but perfect love
casts out fear, because fear involves torment.
But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
We love Him because He first loved us."

Matthew 5: 44-46  "But I say to you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you,
and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you....
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?
Do not even the tax collectors do the same?"

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8  "Love suffers long and is kind;
love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails."

Spirtual Food: "God is our Refuge and Strength, Our Help in Trouble"

God is our Refuge and Strength, Our Help in Trouble

Our topic in Issues of Life is about "Abuse" which many women  and children all over the world are now experiencing. If you are suffering from any kind of abuse and you are not yet ready to leave, you can start battling it in the spiritual realm through these verses.

Isaiah 54:17   " 'No weapon formed against you
shall prosper. And every tongue which rises
against you in judgment you shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.
And their righteousness is from Me', says the Lord."

Psalm 46: 1   "God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble."

Psalm 62: 5-6   "My soul, wait silently for God alone.
For my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation.
He is my defense; I shall not be moved."

Spiritual Food: "By His Stripes We Were Healed!"

Healing is part of our redemption. As Jesus paid for our sins by His blood, He also paid for our healing and wholeness. He is willing to heal us even today for "He is the same, yesterday, today and forever". I pray these verses will help strengthen your faith in healing.

1 Peter 2: 24  "Who Himself bore our sins in His own body
on the tree, that we, having died to sin, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed."

Luke 5: 12-13  "And it happened when He was
in a certain city, that behold, a man who was
full of leprosy saw Jesus, and he fell on his face and
implored Him saying, 'Lord, if you are willing, You can
make me clean'.  Then He put out His hand and touched him saying, 'I am willing; be cleansed'. Immediately
the leprosy left him."

Psalm 103:1-4   "Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me bless His holly name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits:
who forgives all your iniquities, who heals ALL your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies..."

I am a wife and mother and my greatest achievement in life is becoming a Christian. No, I'm not religious, but my relationship with Jesus has led me to adhere to and have faith in the greatest manual of life: the Bible. We are gracefully living by and through the Grace of God.
