SPIRITUAL FOOD: "Bring Your Children Up in the Training and Admonition of the Lord"
We have had many topics and verses posted in this blog regarding the bringing up of our children in the training of our Lord. Permit me to add another post on this in order to support our Issues of Life topic. But I pray that the following verses may help us realize and ask God to help us in the fulfillment of our obligations to our children--first and foremost, to train them in the knowledge of who God is.
Psalm 127:3 "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward."
Ephesians 6: 4 "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."
Galatians 4: 1-2 "Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardian and stewards until the time appointed by the father."
Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly."
Proverbs 1:8-9 "My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother; for they will be graceful ornament on your head, and chains about your neck."
